A Hunt at Selma Wedding – Amelia, VA
Kasie and Ryan were married on September 29th, 2018 at the Hunt at Selma Barn in Amelia, Virginia.
It seems like just yesterday we were taking Kasie and Ryan’s engagement photos (you can find those here) on her family’s land. It’s SO crazy to me how fast time flies by! But, I know it’s said that time flies by fast when you are having fun, and I think that’s exactly what Kasie and Ryan do with each other! Have SO much fun!
Ryan is probably one of the funniest grooms I have ever had. I tell ya, we just laugh until tears start to fall, and now I know he’s a pretty good dancer too! Haha! With that being said, he really brings out that huge smile in Kasie. She just GLOWS when she looks at him. I knew that when their wedding day came…that glow would be even MORE than I could ever imagine, and I was right y’all!
As all of the moments throughout the beginning of the day lead up to the anticipation of the First Look, before we knew it, Kasie was standing behind Ryan. Both of them I am sure were nervous, but honestly, I think they were just more excited to SEE each other than anything! Ryan turned around and immediately smiled the biggest smile…and then…”had allergies” as he would like to say, haha! So funny!
After the first look, they got to spend time together and relaxed before walking down the aisle to get MARRIED. Kasie met arms with her father’s best friend, who was also wearing the suit coat Kasie’s dad bought for the wedding. They made their way down to the alter to meet Ryan and became HUSBAND AND WIFE!!!! AHHHH!!!!
Their Love Story
When and where did you both meet?
We meet hanging out with friends in high school…in particular the Farmville cookout parking lot, haha!
When did you know he was the one and vice versa?
The first date to Pinos in Keysville.
What is the one thing you both love each other the most for?
Compassion and love for people.
How did he propose?
Before my dad passed he was able to ask his permission and showed him the ring. He proposed on the Beach in front of my family. When he went down to get on one knee the ring fell out of the box into the sand, and presented an empty box. It really scared him when he looked down and the ring wasn’t in the box.
