A Virginia International Raceway Wedding
Brittany and Adam were married on June 10th, 2017 and had quite the full of color and confetti Virginia International Raceway Wedding celebration!
Wow…I think it’s kind of absolutely CRAZY that I am typing this blog post right now. Not to mention, that these two are now a MARRIED couple and sitting on the beach in Jamaica right now. Seriously. It’s insane! It feels like just yesterday these two were sitting in my house talking with me about the booking process and how they couldn’t imagine someone else photographing their big day. Say WHAT?! All the feels you guys. ALL THE FEELS.
After getting the know them QUITE well through their engagement session (you can find that here), we became good friends. I mean, you get to know people pretty well on car rides if you ask me. Especially when their engagement session location was a three hour drive to and from. Oh, good times you guys. GOOD. TIMES. It really has been such an exciting thing to be wrapped into this celebration in their lives. Not to mention, the fact that I got to work with my BFF Amanda Day Rose in all of this too!
Brittany and Amanda really made the details with fun pops of color and little teeny tiny pineapples (see if you can find them throughout the blog post) come to life all throughout the day, I tell you. From the colorful rompers the bridesmaids prepped themselves in, all the way to the custom monogramed cake topper that sat upon quite honestly one of the BEST cakes I have EVER tasted at a wedding by Connie Halsey. Oh you guys, it was such a good day and one that I am so thrilled I got to share a small part in. Congratulations again you guys!
When and where did you both meet?
Our story starts back in elementary school. Being from a small town, everyone knows everyone. Adam and I were a year apart in school, but still shared some mutual friends. Fast forward through high school and college, it had been 8 years since we had last seen each other. November, 23, 2012 we ran into each other at Drug Store Grill and the rest is history.
When did you know he was the one and vice versa?
Brittany: That night at Drug Store Grill, as corny as it sounds.
Adam: I just knew.
What’s the one thing you both love each other the most for?
Brittany: I admire how passionate and dedicated Adam is about everything. Once he sets his mind on something, he makes it happen. I also love that Adam can make me smile no matter what is going on.
Adam: Brittany truly wears her heart on her sleeve. She is the most caring person I’ve ever known-always putting others first.
I had worked a really long day. Adam had driven to Lynchburg to meet up with me. We had been working on a piece of furniture and he wanted to get paint for it. After going to Lowes, we got home and crashed on the couch. I was so exhausted! After searching through tv channels, we decided to watch the last episode of American Idol. About 30 minutes after we sat down, Adam got up and went into the kitchen. When he came back, I noticed that he had something in his pocket. Our dog Forrest was also acting weird. I kept asking “What’s in your pocket, what’s in your pocket,” thinking it was chocolate. The next second, Adam got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was such a special moment at home with our dog. I had always said i wanted to be surprised and he nailed it!
