Hannah + Jacob // Married

Hannah and Jacob were married on April 9th, 2016 at Clarksville Baptist Church and followed by a wedding reception at The Prizery in South Boston, Virginia.

Anyone that know’s these two know that they mean business. They also know that these put every single ounce of their heart and soul into anything they do and that includes the love they have for each other.

Hannah and Jacob have been with me through their engagement session and Hannah’s GORGEOUS bridal portraits we took at Berry Hill Mansion. Over this time I have really gotten to know these two well. They’re genuine personalties make their photos come to life.

Oh, and let me tell you their wedding day was PERFECT! I mean, down to every last detail. We started the day with the girls getting ready at Hannah’s sweet aunt’s house where lots of laughter echoed through the hallways. From there we made our way two the church where Jacob anxiously awaited his bride for their first look. Oh, my goodness. I wish you guys could have been there, it was AMAZING! After they said “I Do” we quickly made our way back over to the The Prizery wedding reception. Which again, blew me away! Amanda Day Rose‘s gorgeous fresh floral design mixed with Amy (from I Do Events) amazing eye for details was unbelievable!!!

When and where did you both meet?

We became friends in high school. At the time, we were both dating other people. We ended up both attending Virginia Tech and continued our friendship throughout college. During the last month of college, we realized we both had feelings for each other and it was now or never to get give a relationship a chance. We’ve been together ever since!

When did you know he was the one and vice versa?

Hannah: We had been friends for a very long time before we started dating. He was so considerate and sweet and always knew how to make me laugh. When we finally realized we should be together, I think I knew from the beginning that he was the one because of how solid our friendship was.

Jacob: Truth be told, I have always known that she was the one, however we were always with other people. She is my best friend and it was a natural fit for us to be together.

What’s the one thing you both love each other the most for?

Hannah: His generosity. He goes out of his way to help any and everyone he meets. He is always willing to help me (whether it’s small chores around the house or just listening to me stress about school or work). He has always been there for me and is one of the most supportive people in my life.

Jacob: Her kindness. She is always going out of her way to make me feel loved and special and there isn’t a single person out there who compares.

How did he propose?

We decided to go out for a nice dinner in Raleigh. I decided to wear a nice sundress since it was late September and the weather was warm. I thought it was a little strange that he insisted on wearing a sports coat but Jacob likes to dress up sometimes so I just went with it at first. When we arrived downtown, we ended up eating dinner at this cute little restaurant with outdoor seating overlooking the Raleigh skyline. I continued to tell him to take his jacket off since it was so warm but he refused. After dinner, we went for a short walk to the nearby bridge for a perfect view of the sunset over the Raleigh skyline. We were just talking about life and maybe getting dessert later but he didn’t seem in a rush to leave. He finally started talking about how much he loved me and the next thing I knew he was asking me to marry him! Little did I know, he had insisted on wearing the sports coat as a way of carrying the ring because the box was a little bulky. After being completely surprised and asking “Is this real?!?”
