A Danville Country Club Wedding – Danville, Virginia
Kattie and Zack were married on September 22nd, 2018 at Danville Country Club in Danville, Virginia.
It feels like just yesterday we were taking Kattie and Zack’s engagement photos (you can find those here). Those were SO much fun to take because these two had NEVER taken professional photos together before! You would never have even known! So, of course when I took them, they were TOTAL naturals in front of my camera. Oh, and Kattie’s bridal portraits (you can find those here) were just as dreamy and gorgeous!
When I arrived at the Danville Country Club for the wedding day…I was speechless! When Kattie originally first told me about her ideas for the feel of the overall design of a “black and white” themed wedding…all I could think was “Gosh, this sounds like a Kate Spade inspired wedding if I have ever thought of one” and my gracious…again, when I walked in…I was BLOWN away! It was STUNNING y’all!!!
What was even more stunning, and just…the best thing about my job, was watching Zack’s reaction to seeing Kattie walk down the aisle to him. Oh my goodness….my heart stopped and I totally teared up myself! Their moment had FINALLY arrived and next thing we knew, they were HUSBAND AND WIFE!!!
Congratulations you two!!! Totally not jealous that you are spending two weeks on your honeymoon right now! LOL!
Their Love Story
When and where did you both meet?
Gus’s Mayflower Seafood Restaurant in Danville, VA – we both worked there – I was a server and he was a line cook We bother worked at Gus’s Mayflower together for almost 4 years, Zack had been working there much longer than me ( I started working there in 2011) and I worked there about a year an a half before we started dating. He asked me out on January 1, 2013 and we have been together ever since.
When did you know he was the one and vice versa?
Kattie: From the beginning nothing was ever confusing or questionable about our relationship “does he like me” was never a question in my mind. Everything about our relationship just seemed right and I knew he loved me without question. I remember thinking to myself soon after we started dating that “nothing has every felt so right”. When you know you just know!
Zack: I remember sitting on her couch about six months after we started dating and thinking I could not live my life without her. I knew she was the perfect girl that I couldn’t see myself without.
What is the one thing you both love each other the most for?
Kattie: Zack encourages me daily to be the best person I can be. He has always been there for me and I can not see myself without him. He cares for me, he shows me daily how much I mean to him, and he truly loves me for me. I could go on and on, but one thing I truly love the most about Zack is the way he treats me, he makes me feel special every single day of his life and I couldn’t ask for much more than that.
Zack: Kattie is the most sweetest, loving, and caring woman I have ever met. She has loved me unconditionally and has been by myside no matter what. She has loved my family just like it was her own.
How did he propose?
He proposed at my graduation party after I received my Bachelor’s degree in Business at Averett University on May 6, 2017. Zack was so nervous bless his heart!
