A Cloverdale Quarters Wedding
They were married on September 17th, 2016 at the GORGEOUS Cloverdale Quarters just outside of Danville, Virginia.
Let me start off by saying these two are absolutely made for each other. Now, let me preface by saying a genuinely believe ALL my couples really are made for each other. I get to know them on deeper levels than just emails back and forth because I CARE about them as people than just wedding clients. I love learning their stories and the why behind the love they share. With that being said, I can 110% assure you that these two…oh my goodness…they seriously are the perfect balance of pure smarts and goofiness. My FAV!
Amanda had been messaging me for YEARS you guys telling me randomly “You ARE going to be photographing my wedding one day.” Little did I know that day would sneak up SO fast. I swear to you, as SOON as Stevie proposed she immediately messaged me. Next thing I knew we were planning their engagement session (you can find that here). She was messaging me all about the GORGEOUS details of her wedding day.
From the AMAZING floral work and table scape set up by Amanda Day Rose (AND SHE IS LOCAL HALIFAX PEEPS), to the smaller touches like the cute mason jars they had at each table for their guests, and the colors of the bridesmaids dresses. Speaking of bridesmaids, they are seriously some of the best ladies you could have surrounding you on your wedding day. It was just absolute perfection you guys!!! Not to mention…the dancing was seriously DA BOMB!
When and where did you both meet?
Stevie and Amanda seriously met in MIDDLE SCHOOL you guys!!! I am like 99.9% sure that like every single person in the OHNINE graduating class knew these two would end up married one day and become best buds!
When did you know he was the one and vice versa?
Amanda: How over the years I always kept coming back to him.
Stevie: When I was a kid, I just knew.
What’s the one thing you both love each other the most for?
Amanda: He just makes me happy even when he makes me mad.
Stevie: “You cool” <— Stevie’s legitimate answer
How did he propose?
The day after thanksgiving he threw an ornament off our loft while we were putting up the Christmas tree. It broke and shattered everywhere. There was a note in it, he came downstairs, hugged me, and proposed.
